Jewelry Photo retouching Service
Jewelry is bought at full zoom, so that is where we work. Dust off the metal, inclusions calmed without erasing the stone, hot spots brought down to a reflection you could believe. Every piece is finished by hand and checked by a second retoucher at 100% magnification. Send three pieces and judge the finish yourself.

Sell the finish, not the dust .
Our high quality jewelry photo editing service handles the close post-production that takes a raw studio frame to a hero image a buyer will trust. Jewelry image retouching covers the surface work inside the frame: dust and fingerprints off the metal, fine scratches filled, gemstone clarity lifted, reflections rebuilt, prongs and settings straightened, and metal tone matched across a line. We have been running this jewelry photo retouching service since 2010, and it is the core work our retouchers do every day.
Every piece of jewelry is finished by a retoucher working at full magnification, because that is the scale a shopper views it at. A ring that looks clean at thumbnail size shows every blemish at 2,000 pixels, and product pages on e-commerce sites are where those details get noticed. We work in Photoshop with a tablet, layer by layer, and a second retoucher checks the file before it leaves the floor.
One spec sheet per client, agreed on the trial and applied to every order after it. How bright the stones sit, how much reflection stays on a band, which white the background is, how files are named. A collection shot in spring and a collection shot in autumn should not look like two different studios did the work.
When jewelry retouching is necessary
Ask for jewelry photo editing and retouching when finish and sparkle drive the sale: engagement rings, fine and fashion pieces, watches, loose gemstones. If all you need is a clean cutout on white, a basic clipping path costs less and does the job. If the metal and the stones have to look right in the buyer’s hand before they own it, that is jewelry photo editing at this level, and we will tell you which process you actually need before you pay for it.

Four levels of finish for high-end jewelry photo retouching .
We quote on the retouching a piece actually needs, not on a generic category. Our high end jewelry retouching services sit in four distinct tiers, covering almost everything that reaches our Dhaka floor.
Level 01
Basic cleanup
Dust, fingerprints and minor spots off the metal, basic color correction, exposure tidied.
Level 02
Standard retouch
Metal smoothing, scratch removal, natural drop shadow work, and reflection cleanup across the surface.
Level 03
High-end
Gemstone clarity, sparkle, prong and symmetry work, full surface finish for quality jewelry.
Level 04
Hero / editorial
Campaign-grade reconstruction, focus stacking, complex graphic design alignments, and relighting for high-end jewelry photo retouching.
Six jewelry photo editing services, one Craft .
These are the six core tasks our jewelry retouchers handle, quoted separately because they take different amounts of time. Take the full jewelry retouching service or just the specific image editing pass you need.

Sparkle & brilliance
Fire and scintillation lifted so diamonds and colored stones read brilliant without going glassy.

Metal cleanup
Dust, fingerprints and fine scratches taken off gold, silver and platinum, grain left intact.

Reflection control
Hot spots brought down and clean reflections rebuilt on bands, cases and polished faces.

Stone clarity
Distracting inclusions and dust reduced while the gem stays recognisably itself.

Colour & metal tone
White balance corrected so yellow, rose and white metals match across a whole line.

Prong & symmetry
Settings straightened and prongs balanced so the piece sits square to the camera.
Sixteen years as a full magnification .
Jewelry punishes a shortcut faster than any other product category. What follows is what sits behind every order, stated plainly.

2M+ images delivered
Single engagement rings through to full fine-jewelry collections and watch catalogs. Our editors have met most issues a loupe can find on product images.
60+
Editors, 18 on jewelry alone
A dedicated jewelry retouch floor with its own QA. Five hold Adobe Certified Professional credentials in Photoshop. Nobody rotates in from a background removal service queue.
98.6%
First-pass approval
Measured across every order in 2025. When a retouched jewelry image comes back, we log the reason and the editor who built the file sees the note.

Written commitments
Signed NDAs, encrypted transfer, and revisions until the join holds at 200%. You are never billed twice for our mistake.

Composite the join
One retoucher owns your batch start to finish. Metal cleaned, stones worked, reflections balanced at full magnification to your spec sheet.
≈ 12–24h
Independent QA
A second retoucher who did not build the file runs it against our six-point finish standard at 100%. Anything that fails goes back before you see it.

How we judge a finish on retouched jewelry .
Six checks every image passes before it is released. Our QA retouchers work from this list, and it is the same list we hand new hires in their first week.
01
Stones still look like stones
Inclusions reduced, not erased. A flawless-looking diamond on a product page that sells a VS2 creates a return and a complaint. We calm what distracts and leave what is real.
02
Metal tone matches your reference
Compared against the swatch or product page you supply, not against what looks pleasing on our monitor. Yellow, rose and white read consistently across a whole line.
03
Highlights controlled, not flattened
A polished band needs a hot spot to read as metal. We bring the blown areas back into range and leave the specular life in.
04
Prongs and settings sit true
Straightened where the camera angle skewed them, left alone where the piece is genuinely asymmetric. A hand-made setting should still look hand-made.
05
Edge holds at 100%
No halo, no stair-stepping around a chain or a claw. Pen-tool paths on hard edges, masked selections on fine links, checked at actual pixel size.
06
Spec sheet obeyed
Canvas size, margin, background value, layer structure and file name checked against your sheet. Consistency across a collection is the part clients notice months later.
We use the best tools for the job .
No proprietary black box, no plugin doing the thinking. A short, boring list of professional software and editing tools, used by people who know them well.
Retouching
Where every join is built by hand. Pen-tool paths, layer masks, and manual clipping, working on a tablet because a mouse cannot follow a fine link or setting cleanly.
Colour & depth
Your RAW and TIFF files opened without baked-in corrections, matched to the session you signed off, judged on displays profiled to a schedule.

What we do not use
One-click sparkle filters, automated AI presets, or 3D modeling replacement for actual gemstones. Both invent facets the stone does not have, which misrepresents the product you are selling. If a shot genuinely cannot be composited from your own frames, we tell you rather than fake it.
What we see go wrong in client files .
Most difficult retouches were made difficult on set. These are six common issues that cost professional photographers and studios time, and each one is cheap to avoid before the shutter clicks.
No colour reference
Frames arrive with no swatch, no product page and no note. We can neutralise a cast, but we cannot know whether that band is meant to read rose or champagne.
Piece shot uncleaned
Fingerprints and dust that a microfibre cloth would have taken off in ten seconds become billable retouching time on every single frame.
One hard light source
A single bare head blows the top of every polished surface. Once a highlight is fully clipped there is no metal left underneath to bring back.
No focus stack
Deep settings and long chains cannot be sharp end to end in one frame. Without a stack we are choosing which part of your product looks soft.
Reflective backdrop
A coloured or glossy surface throws its own colour into the metal. Neutral grey or white saves a colour-correction pass on every image.
No spec on the first order
Ten pieces, ten interpretations of how bright a stone should sit. Five minutes agreeing it on the trial saves a revision round on every batch after.
Recent hollow-man edits
Pairs from recent batches, at the resolution the client received. Every one is jewelry photography retouching on a client’s own frames, not a stock demo. Drag the split to compare.

Reflection control & dial detail
One studio, every jewelry market .
Work arrives from four continents. Each market has its own idea of how much sparkle is right, and we hold a spec sheet for each one.
US jewelers & marketplaces
Main images on pure white to Amazon and Etsy specs, with the jewellery image retouching and file naming your catalog workflow expects.
UK & EU fashion
Restrained jewellery photo retouching services for British houses and independents. We hold sparkle back further here than US briefs usually ask for.
AU retailers
Overnight jewelry photo retouching services that land finished files at the start of your business day, wherever you sell.
Photographers & studios
White-label overflow for studios. Send a shoot, get every jewellery retouch back in your house style, with our name nowhere on it.
Tailoring & formalwear
The most scrutinised images you own. Diamond fire, prong symmetry and band finish held true at full product-page zoom.
DTC & catalog teams
Brushed and polished cases, sapphire glare and dial detail balanced so every surface reads exactly as it does in hand.
Hand retouching vs. the alternatives .
An AI preset is faster and an in-house hire gives you more control. This is where sending the work out earns its place, and where it does not.

Jewelry retouching, answered .
A jewelry photo editing service provides close post-production for commercial jewelry photography: dust, fingerprints and scratches removed from metal, gemstone clarity and sparkle lifted, reflections controlled, and metal colour corrected so a piece looks in a photo the way it looks in the hand
Basic cleanup starts at $0.80 per image. Standard retouching runs about $1.75, high-end stone and metal work about $2.90, and hero or editorial reconstruction about $4.50. Monthly volume rates offer lower per-image pricing for larger collections.
Jewelry photo editing is the broader category: cutouts, background removal, clipping paths, color correction, and file formatting. Jewelry image retouching services focus on the close surface work inside the image: refining metal, balancing reflections, and cleaning gemstones. Most catalog orders need both.
Will
Yes. We reduce dust and distracting inclusions and lift brilliance, but the stone stays recognisably itself. Making a VS2 diamond look flawless misrepresents the product and causes returns, so we calm what distracts and leave what is real.
Send your RAW or JPEG frames plus a colour reference: a swatch, a product page, or a note saying whether the metal should read yellow, rose or white. Focus-stacked sets are welcome for deep settings and long chains, and we will merge them for you.
AI tools clean dust and lift contrast in seconds, but they invent facets and reflections the stone does not have. Hand jewelry photography retouching keeps the real product, which is what marketplaces, online stores, and premium jewelers require.
Yes. Both expect a pure white RGB 255 background with the product filling about 85% of the frame, which is standard catalog work. What is not allowed is altering the product itself, such as adding fake facets or changing a stone’s natural color.
A retoucher needs 15 to 40 minutes per image depending on the level of finish required. We deliver completed files within 24 hours (or 12 hours on a priority plan). Clipp Out Line retouches 3 pieces free before any paid order.
Send 3 pieces. judge the finish yourself .
No card, no commitment. We’ll build the ghost mannequin effect on your own apparel, then scale up whenever you’re ready.
