Jewelry Photo Editing Service

A jewelry photo editing service for jewelers, marketplaces and studios — priced per service, so you order metal cleanup without paying for stone work, or reflection control on its own. Jewelry is bought at full zoom, so that is where we work: every piece retouched by hand in Photoshop and checked by a second retoucher at 100% magnification.

Jewelry photo editing services we Provide .

Six jewelry retouching services, each priced on its own. Order one, or stack three on the same frame — you are never billed for a full retouch when an image only needs dust off the metal and the tone corrected.

Metal cleanup .

Dust, fingerprints and fine scratches are taken off gold, silver and platinum one at a time, sampling from the piece’s own surface so the repair carries the right grain. Nothing is blurred away in a pass.

The mill marks, brush lines and hand-finished texture stay exactly where they were. A band that has been smoothed into plastic reads as a render, and a buyer at 2,000 pixels can tell.

from $1.20 per photo

Before After
Before After

Colour and metal tone .

White balance is corrected against the swatch or product page you supply, not against what looks pleasing on our monitor, so yellow, rose and white metals read consistently across a whole line.

This is the line that keeps a collection shot in spring and a collection shot in autumn looking like the same studio did the work. One spec per client, agreed on the trial and applied to every order after it.

from $2 per photo

Reflection control .

Hot spots are brought back into range and clean reflections rebuilt on bands, watch cases and polished faces, so a surface reads as metal instead of as a white blank.

A polished band needs a highlight to look like metal at all, so we bring the blown areas down and leave the specular life in. Where a highlight is fully clipped there is nothing underneath to recover, and we say so rather than paint a guess.

from $2 per photo

Before After
Before After

Stone clarity .

Dust in the setting and distracting inclusions are reduced facet by facet while the gem stays recognisably itself. Everything is worked at full magnification, because that is the scale a shopper views it at.

Making a VS2 diamond look flawless misrepresents the product and causes returns, so we calm what distracts and leave what is real. If a stone cannot be retouched into something honest, we tell you instead of faking it.

from $2.5 per photo

Sparkle and brilliance .

Fire and scintillation are lifted with local contrast and dodge and burn on curves, so diamonds and coloured stones read brilliant without going glassy or plastic.

How far this goes is a house decision, and we hold it on your spec sheet. UK briefs generally want it pulled back further than US ones, and either is fine as long as the whole collection agrees with itself.

Prong and symmetry work.

Settings are straightened and prongs balanced where the camera angle skewed them, so the piece sits square to the lens and a claw does not read as bent metal.

Where a piece is genuinely asymmetric it is left alone. A hand-made setting should still look hand-made, and correcting that away costs you the thing the buyer is paying for.

Turnaround

Most orders come back within 24 hours, and small sets often the same day. A 200 to 500 headshot roster usually takes two to three working days depending on how many services you stack per frame. If a deadline is going to slip you hear it from us before the deadline, not after.

What each level of finish includes .

Three common combinations, with exactly what an editor applies at each one. Every list below is what actually happens to the file, in order.

Before After

Jewelry photo editing and cleanup .

The lightest finish we offer, and the right one when the piece was cleaned before the shoot and the light is even. Exposure is set, the backdrop cast neutralised, and dust, lint and fingerprints taken off the metal.

Background value is corrected alongside the metal, so a marketplace set matches frame to frame on pure white. That matters more than any single image once they sit together on a category page.

from $1.20 per photo

Jewelry image retouching and reflection work.

Our most ordered combination, and the level we would pick for a product page that has to sell. Fine scratches are filled, the surface smoothed without losing polish grain, and hot spots rebuilt rather than dimmed.

The rule we work to is that the finish should look like the piece on a good day in good light, not like a different object. If you want an area left as shot, say so and it stays untouched.

from $2.5 per photo

High-end and hero retouching.

For frames where the stone itself is the subject, or the image will be enlarged. Gemstone clarity, sparkle, prong and symmetry work are all applied, and the whole surface finished at full magnification throughout.

At the top of this level sits hero and editorial work: merged focus stacks, rebuilt reflections and relighting for print or campaign use, priced from $25 per image.

What makes a best-in-class retouch.

Six checks every image passes before release. It is the standard that separates a professional jewelry image retouching service from a one-click sparkle filter, and it is the same list we hand new hires in their first week.

01

Stones still look like stones

Inclusions reduced, not erased. A flawless-looking diamond on a page that sells a VS2 creates a return and a complaint. We calm what distracts and leave what is real.

02

Metal tone matches your reference

Compared against the swatch or product page you supply, not against what looks pleasing on our monitor. Yellow, rose and white read consistently across a whole line.

03

Highlights controlled, not flattened

A polished band needs a hot spot to read as metal. We bring the blown areas back into range and leave the specular life in.

04

Prongs and settings sit true

Straightened where the camera angle skewed them, left alone where the piece is genuinely asymmetric. A hand-made setting should still look hand-made.

05

Edge holds at 100%

No halo, no stair-stepping around a chain or a claw. Pen-tool paths on hard edges, masked selections on fine links, checked at actual pixel size.

06

Spec sheet obeyed

Canvas size, margin, background value, layer structure and file name checked against your sheet. Consistency across a collection is the part clients notice months later.

What we see go wrong in Client files .

Most difficult retouches were made difficult on set. These are the six issues that cost our retouchers the most time, and each one is cheap to avoid before the shutter clicks.

No colour reference

Frames arrive with no swatch, no product page and no note. We can neutralise a cast, but we cannot know whether that band is meant to read rose or champagne.

Piece shot uncleaned

Fingerprints and dust that a microfibre cloth would have taken off in ten seconds become billable retouching time on every single frame.

One hard light source

A single bare head blows the top of every polished surface. Once a highlight is fully clipped there is no metal left underneath to bring back.

No focus stack

Deep settings and long chains cannot be sharp end to end in one frame. Without a stack we are choosing which part of your product looks soft.

Reflective backdrop

A coloured or glossy surface throws its own colour into the metal. Neutral grey or white saves a colour-correction pass on every image.

No spec on the first order

Ten pieces, ten interpretations of how bright a stone should sit. Five minutes agreeing it on the trial saves a revision round on every batch after.

Hand retouching vs. the alternatives .

An AI preset is faster and an in-house hire gives you more control. This is where a jewelry photo editing service earns the difference against automation — and where it does not.

Jewelry photo editing services, answered .

Each service is priced on its own, starting at $1.20 per image for metal cleanup or metal tone correction. Reflection control is about $2, and stone clarity, sparkle and prong work about $3. Hero and editorial reconstruction is about $9.99. You only pay for the services an image actually needs.

Yes. Because everything is priced per service you can order a single line item — metal cleanup only, or reflection control only — rather than paying for a full retouch. Most jewelers combine two or three services per image.

Jewelry photo retouching is the close post-production of jewelry images: dust, fingerprints and scratches removed from metal, gemstone clarity and sparkle lifted, reflections controlled, and metal colour corrected so a piece looks in a photo the way it looks in the hand.

Jewelry photo editing is the broader category: cutouts, backgrounds, colour and file formatting. Jewelry image retouching services cover the close surface work inside it, on metal, stones and reflections. Most orders need both, and we quote them together.

Yes. We reduce dust and distracting inclusions and lift brilliance, but the stone stays recognisably itself. Making a VS2 diamond look flawless misrepresents the product and causes returns, so we calm what distracts and leave what is real.

Yes. Orders over $500 in a calendar month receive 15% off, over $2,000 receive 25% off, and over $5,000 receive 30% off — basic cleanup at $2.10 per image — plus a dedicated retoucher and a 12-hour SLA. Discounts apply automatically and need no contract.

A skilled retoucher needs 15 to 40 minutes per image depending on the level of finish. Standard turnaround is 24 hours, or 12 hours on a priority plan, and collections of 500 images or more usually take two to three working days, across the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe.

Send your RAW or JPEG frames plus a colour reference: a swatch, a product page, or a note saying whether the metal should read yellow, rose or white. Focus-stacked sets are welcome for deep settings and long chains, and we will merge them for you.

Yes. Both expect a pure white RGB 255 background with the product filling about 85% of the frame, which is standard jewelry photo editing service work. What is not allowed is altering the product itself, such as adding facets or changing a stone’s colour.

Send 3 pieces. Judge the finish yourself .

No card, no commitment. We will run our jewelry photo editing service on your own pieces, deliver them at full resolution
